By using the Vitrine app or website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms cover the consumer service; retailers using Vitrine Pro accept additional terms at sign-up.
Vitrine helps you discover which products may be in stock at physical stores near you, reserve some of them, and share sightings with the community. Vitrine is a discovery tool, not the seller of the products shown.
Stock information comes from retailers, automated catalogue matching, and community sightings. It is provided for guidance only and may be incomplete or out of date. Each item shows a confidence level. We do not guarantee that a product is actually available, priced as shown, or carried by a store. When it matters, contact the store before travelling.
Vitrine does not test products, analyse ingredients or inspect kitchens. Dietary, allergen and medicine information is given to us by shops, restaurants, brands, public registers such as the ANSM medicines database, and other users. We pass it on and we say where it came from.
This information can be incomplete or out of date. A producer can change a recipe, and a restaurant can change a supplier, without that change reaching us. Where a product shows nothing for an allergen or a diet, it means nobody has told us. It does not mean the product is free from it.
If you have an allergy, an intolerance or a medical condition, confirm with the shop, the restaurant or a pharmacist before you buy or eat. Where we show information about a medicine, it reproduces the official record without alteration and is not medical advice; it does not replace the leaflet, your pharmacist or your doctor.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account.
You agree not to: submit false or offensive content, scrape or bulk-extract our data, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, impersonate others, or use Vitrine for any unlawful purpose. We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach these rules.
Vitrine, its name, logo, design, software, and all the content we create are the exclusive property of Vitrine and are protected by intellectual-property law. The Vitrine database (both its structure and its contents) is protected by the sui generis right of the database producer under Directive 96/9/EC and articles L.341-1 and following of the French Intellectual Property Code.
Without our prior written authorisation, you may not: extract or reuse a substantial part of the database, whether qualitatively or quantitatively (by volume or by value); scrape, crawl, harvest, index, cache, or copy the site or its data by any automated or manual means; access the service through bots, spiders, scripts, or any automated system; circumvent access controls, rate limits, or technical protection measures; reproduce, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or make the data available to any third party; or use the data to build, train, or populate a competing or derivative product, dataset, model, or database.
The repeated and systematic extraction of insubstantial parts of the database that conflicts with our normal exploitation of it is equally prohibited. Any breach entitles us to suspend or terminate your account immediately and to seek all available legal remedies, including damages and injunctive relief.
When you submit a sighting, review, photo, or other content, you grant Vitrine a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host and display it within the service to improve data quality for all users. You confirm you have the right to share what you submit. Contributions are shown without your name.
Vitrine records observed facts: that a given product or dish was seen in a given place, and at what price. Facts are not owned by anyone. You are reporting what you saw, in the same way you might tell a friend which shop stocks something.
You may report what you observe yourself in a place open to the public: that an item is sold there, its name, its price, and the characteristics printed on it or on its shelf label. You may photograph an item you are looking at in order to have our tools read those details for you.
You may not submit data taken from someone else's website, app, catalogue, printed guide or database, even if it is freely visible there. That is their data, and copying it can infringe their rights whether or not you accepted their terms. Only submit what you observed for yourself.
You may not upload a photograph whose interest lies in its design rather than its information: a menu card, a printed catalogue page, an advertisement, artwork, or a photograph taken by someone else. Those are protected as creative works even when the facts they contain are not. Use them to fill in the details, and let the photograph go.
Respect the place you are in. A shop, restaurant or venue may set its own house rules, including about photography, and those rules apply to you regardless of what this service allows. Do not photograph identifiable people. Do not contribute anything about a business you are trying to harm.
A business owner may correct or remove information about their own establishment. Owner-provided information takes precedence over community reports everywhere in the service.
To save you typing, we may use automated tools, including optical character recognition and AI models, to read a photograph you take and pre-fill fields such as a product name, brand, price or characteristics. These tools are an assistant, never an authority.
Anything read automatically is presented to you for confirmation or correction before it is saved. You remain the author of what you submit, and you are responsible for checking it is right. We record how often these suggestions are accepted or corrected, so we can measure and improve their accuracy. That measurement concerns the suggestions, not you.
Automated readings can be wrong, and we do not present them as verified. Nothing produced this way is medical, legal, dietary or financial advice.
You may share a link to a shop, product, service or event page with anyone, including on social networks and messaging apps. Sharing a link is always permitted and is how the service is meant to be used.
What you may not do is take our data out of the service in bulk: copying substantial parts of the database, republishing our listings elsewhere as a dataset or directory, or using them to build a competing product. The limits in the intellectual-property section above apply to the data itself, never to an ordinary link.
Some information we show comes from open data sources that require their source to be credited, and those credits appear alongside the information. If you reuse that information elsewhere, carry the credit with it.
Some retailers let you reserve products, occasionally with an upfront payment processed by Stripe. A reservation is a request that the retailer may confirm or decline. Where you pay upfront, refunds follow the conditions shown at the time of reservation. Vitrine may charge a small service fee, disclosed before you pay. The sale itself is a contract between you and the retailer.
We work to keep Vitrine available and reliable but provide it "as is", without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features.
To the extent permitted by law, Vitrine is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, nor for losses arising from reliance on stock information, a wasted trip, or a transaction with a retailer. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
